Schroeder Grain uses some of the latest in automation technology advances, including modular combination control units, sonar materials measuring, and automated weighing and distribution systems. Combining computerized weigh-in and weigh-out, one-button grain distribution, and a combination of intelligent outdoor displays and simplified controls; the automation greatly simplifies operations that used to be as complex as a small train engineering station. Automatic processes and safeties provide a useful assurance against incidental product loss; while giving the operators a more complete picture of operations at a glance. Process automation ensures that the system performs needed systematic purges after processing, providing a safeguard against clogging and other performance-inhibiting problems.
Surveillance systems provide after-hours security, while a wireless network sends information back and forth to the home farm. Internet and other needed remote access is provided by this linkage, enhancing the ability of the Schroeders to keep up to date on all happenings around the farm.
